Latest AIM Newsletter:

It has amazed me how quickly the months have passed, and suddenly it’s the new year, which promises to be as intense as last year! I apologise for this newsletter being delayed, but it seems like the days fly by without mercy nor thought to weary humans who can never seem to fit enough into one day!

General Conference,
New Zealand 2006

The final half of 2006 was a busy one for our family, with two notable events; 1) the New Zealand General Conference, of which I was the Guest Speaker; and 2) the Australian General Conference. In the midst of all this of course is the local church here in Lismore.

New Zealand:

We were honoured to receive the invitation to preach at the New Zealand General Conference in October. The conference was held in Christchurch, on the South Island of New Zealand, for the first time. Bro & Sis Wayne & Elaine Goodare are the pastors of one of the churches in Christchurch, and it was fantastic to catch up with them. They previously were members of my congregation in Fiji during the 1990’s, when Bro Goodare was in the Islands with Asco Motors (Toyota). We had a wonderful time seeing them again, with their boys, and seeing the good work that God is doing in Christchurch city.

The Conference was blessed by God, and I ministered to the crowd of lovely folks who had travelled from around New Zealand to attend. It was also good to see Bro & Sis Addington again, with their daughter Janelle, which I had known from when I lived in New Zealand 1987-1991. God in particular did a work with the young people, and many lives were touched and changed.

Afterward, we took a short family holiday and travelled around to some of the scenic sights in the beautiful South Island. It was truly lovely and we will treasure memories of our time there (be sure to view more photos)!

Australia:

Just a few days ago we returned from the Australian General Conference. Bro Jerry Jones and our Regional Director Richard Denny were the speakers, and God moved through their preaching during the week.

Some of the young people from the local church in Lismore saved money to attend the conference, and were rewarded as one of the young men was filled with the Holy Ghost! It was a wonderful event, and of course has changed him and the youth department in our church.

I have been busy with the Bible School programme in our local church, and we have seen the people grow as they delve deeper into the understanding of God’s Word. It has created a confidence and excitement in the which I believe will bear fruit in time to come as they step out into the community and share the good news of what Christ can do!

We do so thank you for your support and prayers for us as we continue to follow after the calling of God in our lives. Before us lies a huge harvest, and it is easy to become overwhelmed with the immensity of the task. However it is assuring to know that all over the world there is a network of faithful labourers working for God, and we are not alone; if God be for us, who can be against us!

Our prayers are with you also, that God would bless you and encourage you for your sacrifice for him. Thank again for all your support and prayers. You really do have a part in our ministry!
